Humble Shots III

On July 8, 2012 Lance Gross celebrated his 31st birthday. Known for his work in Tyler Perry's Meet the Brown's movie and House of Payne television show, Gross was more recently featured in Kelly Rowland's "Keep it Between Us" music video and is set to star in Tyler Perry's upcoming film, "The Marriage Counselor."

It's only right that with such a successful year, Gross didn't let the party stop. On July 9th, 2012, Gross continued to celebrate his new age with a few familiar faces at the House of Blues in New Orleans in conjunction with the Essence Music Festival that was taking place that weekend.

Among a star-studded guest list, a few good fellas--Terrance J, co-host of 106 & Park, Laz Alonso, star of Jumping the Broom, and Hosea Chanchez, star of BET's "The Game"--celebrated a weekend of music, fun, and beautiful weather alongside Gross.  Later on that evening, Free, former host of 106 & Park, and Keshia Knight Pulliam, Gross's former co-star on the House of Payne television show, were also caught celebrating with the birthday boy.

The highlight of the event was Terrance J making his third appearance in LifE KiT Lifestyle clothing. Previously seen on 106 & Park rocking the "Stay Humble" tee, once next to co-host Rocsi, and a second time, next to rapper 2 Chainz, arising actor and talented host, Terrance J put on for the growing LifE KiT Lifestyle company and the movement once again, and on his own. He arrived to the House of Blues in khaki slacks, a New York Yankees snap-back, and the classic navy/white "Stay Humble" tee.

So what does this mean for the LifE KiT crew? Instant fame and millions of dollars? Maybe one day, but for now in all humility, it simply proves that the "Stay Humble" movement is growing and affecting all that are willing. While it's not ultimate success, it is intense matriculation towards success. And while success is the motive, progress is the ultimate goal.

The company founders are beyond grateful for not just Terrance J, but for all the dedicated lifers who have supported the company and "Stay Humble" movement. Happy belated birthday to Lance Gross. - Iimani Mcknight
