Our mid week excursion to the Right Coast proved to be a much needed get-a-way to put our hearts and minds at ease.  Watching the sun rise over the Atlantic provided clarity into what the Energy Quarter is all about; and as always our dear friend Nikki was a pleasant addition to an already breath taking view. 

Staring off into the sunrise we couldn't help but be reminded that Energy is at the core of life. In fact, it is at the very essence of who we are and ultimately who we become.  Charles Henry once said, “Purpose directs Energy, and purpose makes Energy.” Our ability to attain what we desire most is fundamentally defined by how much Energy we put forth in acquiring it. Of course it’s not the material things we accomplish or acquire that matters so much as it is the quality of person we become along the way.

Pondering the endless possibilities on the beach that early Wednesday morning lead us to think about our own journey. Time has proven that persistence prevails, but only when you indeed persist through the most difficult moments.  As we have come to realize success has no finish line; but that life is purely a race against the person you have to look at in the mirror every day.
